Privacy Policy

Jigsaw Gardens is made by Tiny Apps, the independent team of Meir and Dorit. This policy covers the game and its pages on tiny-apps.app. You can play without an account or advertising tracking. Optional game insights and essential purchase verification use our own server. Your saved game remains on your device.

Your choice about game insights

The game explains insights when it asks for your choice. The sharing switch is initially selected, but no optional game insights are sent until you choose “Continue & share”. You can turn the switch off and continue without sharing, or choose “Don’t share”. Your decision is remembered across updates. There is no penalty for declining.

In the game, open Settings → Privacy & game insights to stop sharing, export your server data, or request deletion of this device’s analytics. This setting is inside the game; it is not Apple’s cross-app Tracking permission.

What we collect when you share

• Random installation and game-profile identifiers, which let us connect events from the same saved game without asking for your name.
• App and content versions, level starts and results, moves, booster use, rewards and progression.
• Crash, performance and other technical diagnostics, plus structured level feedback you choose to send.
• When insights are enabled, reminder preferences, notification permission status, time zone, last activity, current level/lives, collection progress and message interaction records. These help respect your preferences, quiet hours and message limits. A scheduled reminder does not tell us that you saw it.

These records are pseudonymous, not anonymous. We use them to find broken or difficult levels, understand progression, investigate problems and improve the game. We do not use spending to make levels harder or personalize prices.

We do not collect your contacts, photos, precise location or advertising identifier. We do not use advertising networks, third-party analytics SDKs, cross-app tracking or data sales.

Saved game and offline play

Levels, coins, boosters, collected pictures and settings are saved in the app’s private storage on your device. This version has no cloud save, account-based recovery or cross-device wallet. An app update preserves the saved game; deleting the app or resetting local data can remove it. Our analytics records are not a restorable game backup.

If you approve insights while offline, activity after that choice can be queued and sent when a connection is available. A deletion requested offline is retried when the game reconnects.

Purchases are separate from analytics

Apple processes in-app payments. We never receive payment-card numbers or your Apple Account password. The app sends Apple’s signed transaction, product, purchase date, price, currency and random game-profile identifier to our server to verify and support purchases and prevent duplicate delivery.

This essential purchase processing works independently of optional game insights. Refusing, stopping or deleting analytics does not disable purchase verification or remove your purchased items. Purchase records are kept separately for verification, support, fraud prevention and applicable legal obligations. They are not subject to the 90-day gameplay-event limit. Retention depends on the need to verify transactions, resolve disputes and meet legal requirements; contact us to request access or deletion where applicable. Apple may also send us signed transaction, refund or revocation notifications. We keep verified transaction identifiers, product, random purchase-profile identifier, price/currency, purchase/refund status and verification records. TestFlight purchases are marked as sandbox activity, not revenue.

Coins and boosters belong to this device’s saved game. Delivered consumable purchases cannot be restored through Apple after you delete that local data. Please contact support before deleting the app to troubleshoot a purchase.

Hosting, access and retention

Our application and database run on a Google-hosted virtual machine managed by us. The website and the game service’s secure connection use Cloudflare. These providers process the network connections needed to deliver their services; this can include IP addresses and technical connection information. Transfers to our game service use HTTPS, and access to the analytics console is restricted to authorized operators.

• Raw game events: up to 90 days.
• Detailed move events and technical reports: up to 14 days.
• Duplicate-prevention markers: up to 365 days after the original event is removed.
• Limited progression/cohort records: retained while a profile remains active; removed once the record is over 365 days old and the profile has no activity in the preceding 90 days.
• The latest device preferences and activity snapshot, consent record and message assignments remain until you request analytics deletion. Turning sharing off stops new uploads; it does not itself delete the existing records.
• Technical security records: up to 90 days.
• Backup copies: expire within 14 days. Deletion records are applied when a backup is restored.

A hashed deletion marker is retained to prevent deleted history being reintroduced by old credentials or restored backups. Application access logs do not retain IP addresses, request bodies or credentials. Provider-level connection processing is separate from those application logs.

Reminders and updates

Life reminders, return reminders and news have separate preferences and start off. System notifications also require permission from iOS; you can disable them in the game or in iOS Settings. The current app schedules local reminders on your device. Remote push delivery is not enabled in this release.

The app checks our server for release notices and update requirements when it opens or returns to the foreground. Without insights, it requests public configuration using the TestFlight or App Store channel without a gameplay identifier. With insights enabled, it can use the authenticated device connection. It may also check Apple’s public App Store listing using the app identifier and storefront country. These update checks work independently of optional gameplay analytics. Our in-app News messages respect the separate News preference. Any future change to notification delivery or data collection will be explained before it applies.

Support and Apple services

If you email us or use the contact form, we receive the contact details and message you provide and use them to respond and resolve your request. Do not include passwords or full payment details. The website does not include third-party advertising or analytics scripts.

Apple may provide App Store reports and diagnostics under Apple’s own settings and privacy policy. Apple also handles payment requests and refund decisions.

Purposes and legal bases

Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent for optional game insights, which you can withdraw at any time. Essential purchase processing supports the purchase you request. Service security and fraud prevention serve our legitimate interests in operating a reliable game, and we retain records when necessary to meet legal obligations. We use support information to respond to your request. Declining insights does not prevent play or purchases.

Hosting and delivery providers may process information outside your country. Applicable data-protection safeguards govern those transfers. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your request.

Your controls and requests

You can stop insights at any time and use the in-game export and deletion controls. Deleting analytics does not delete your local progress or essential purchase records. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct or delete personal data, object to processing, or complain to a data-protection authority. Contact us if you need help exercising those rights or identifying your game’s records.

Children

The game is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has shared personal information with us, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate.
